1980 Porsche 911 SC Targa

Club 9 first acquired this Porsche on behalf of a Client in 2016 .

The vehicle had been stored for approx 20 odd years at this point in a warehouse in Atlantis / Western Cape . The owner fell ill and decided to Park the car under a sheet at his workplace. In 2016 he finally realised that he would not be able to drive the car any more. The condition of the car was poor as it had stood for a very long time without having been properly decommissioned.
Club 9 did the following :
-Removed and re built the entire Engine ( Bryan Rütgers )
-re commissioned the break system
-replaced all rubber seals and gaskets
-resprayed the vehicle ( full strip down )
-refurbished the wheels and fitted new tyres

The vehicle was then re sold by Club 9 in 2022 to a German gentleman that used it on the weekends . He traded it back 1 year later and bought a Modern 991.1 Targa .

The car was sold to a Doctor in Nelspruit .

He decided to refurbish and detail the car to another level . Again , a new clutch was fitted , new tyres , interior was re upholstered and detailed, the electrical system was re wired to a large extend and the gear box was refurbished by RS Auto Sport in Johannesburg ( an independent Porsche Specialist ) .
RS Auto Sport also renewed the Injectors , seals and HT Leads and suppressors.
The car was detailed and Ceramic coated and a new targa top with all new seals was fitted. The car is unusually quiet with literally no excessive wind noise present.

The vehicle is now in nearly perfect mechanical condition and the Body and interior are equally good. Please contact us to arrange a viewing.
